10 Days Rwanda Gorillas And Wildlife Safari
This is a 10 days Rwanda gorillas and wildlife safari that will enable you to visit 3 of the national parks in Rwanda. You will visit Nyungwe National Park for a canopy walk, chimpanzee trek and a visit to Gisakura tea estate. You will also visit Akagera National Park for game drives and a boat cruise and you will conclude the journey with the visit to Volcanoes National Park fir a gorilla trek, golden monkey trek, hike to Dian Fossey Tomb and a hike to Mount Bisoke. You will at the end be transferred to the airport for your flight.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali airport to a hotel in Kigali
On day one, our representative guide will pick you from Kigali airport and take you for a city tour to Kigali genocide memorial, Rwanda art museum and kandt house museum with an enroute lunch. You will be transferred to a hotel in Kigali after your city tour and at this hotel its where you will be provided dinner and you will have your night rest.
Day 2 : Transfer to Nyungwe National Park for a canopy walk
At the hotel in Kigali, you will have breakfast and check out. A guide will take you to Nyungwe National Park and on your way to Nyungwe National Park, you will head to a hotel and have lunch. After lunch, you will go ahead with your journey to Nyungwe National Park and you will arrive at the park headquarters fir briefing. After briefing, you will head foe a canopy walk at the suspended bridge and you will have amazing views of Nyungwe forest. This bridge is approximately 160m long and 70m high. You will after the canopy walk head to the park headquarters and check onto a lodge of your choice. You will after have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 3 : Chimpanzee trekking and visit to Gisakura tea estate
You will have breakfast in the morning and you will head to the park headquarters for briefing. You will then set off for a chimpanzee trek in Nyungwe forest and once you see the chimpanzees, you will have only one hour with the chimpanzees and you will then head back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will head for Gisakura tea estate and you will meet with the locals who will teach you how they harvest the tea and the tea making process. You will then head back to the lodge and have dinner and then retire to bed.
Day 4 : Transfer to Akagera National Park for an evening game drive
You will have a transfer to Akagera National park after having breakfast at the lodge in Nyungwe National Park. You will have an enroute lunch on your way to Akagera mat park and then you will after lunch proceed with your journey. You will arrive at Akagera National Park and check into a lodge of your desire and then you will prepare for an evening game drive. You will be briefed at the park headquarters and then you will set off for an evening game drive with the ranger guide. This drive is about 2 to 3 hours and you will have encounters with nocturnal animals like the lions, civets, serval cats, hyenas, leopards and many more. You will after retire to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5 : Morning game drive and a boat cruise
You will conduct an early morning game drive at Akagera National Park after having breakfast and briefing at the park headquarters. You will be led by a guide who will avail you with the information if all the wildlife species that you will cone across. You will get the chance to see the animals rising from their habitats and you will have approximately 5 hours while on this drive. After the drive, you will head back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will rest and then head to the park headquarters in the late afternoon for briefing before you conduct a boat trip at lake Ihema at 3pm. You will see a number of water birds and animals while on the drive and the vegetation on this lake. You will then be transferred to the lodge for dinner and your night rest.
Day 6 : Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will wake up, have breakfast at your own pace at the lodge and a guide will meet up with you at the lodge and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. You will have a stopover for lunch at a hotel and after lunch, you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park. You will decide on an accommodation of your choice and you will check in, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 7 : Gorilla trekking
On day 7, you will have breakfast before you set off to the park headquarters. You will head to the park headquarters with the guide and its where you will set off from after briefing with a guide who will lead the way. You will trek for about 5 hours searching for the gorillas and once you spot them, you will observe them for one hours and capture moments. After, a guide will transfer you to the lodge and you will eat your lunch. You will then rest till evening. In the evening, you will have dinner and retire to bed.
Day 8 : Golden monkey trekking and hike to Dian Fossey Tomb
You will have breakfast in the morning and you will head for a golden monkey trek after briefing at the park headquarters. You will head for the golden monkey trek with the guide and once you see them, you will be permitted to stay with them for one hour and you will after return to the lodge for lunch.
After the lunch break, you will have a hike to Dian Fossey Tomb after briefing. You will see the tomb where Dian Fossey was buried alongside other gorillas. You will also be taught about the research that is kept at this place about the gorillas and you will after retire back to the lodge and have a night rest after dinner.
Day 9 :Hike to Mount Bisoke
You will wake up early in the morning and you have brea3at the lodge. After breakfast, a guide will take you for briefing at the park headquarters and then you will head fir s 6 hours hike to Mount Bisoke. The hike to the summit of Mount bisoke takes approximately 4 hours but this entirely depends on your level of fitness. You will see numerous attractions when you get to the summit and then you will descend back to where you set off from and this will take you about 2 hours. You will be transferred to the lodge and you have lunch and relax. Later on the evening, you retire to bed after having dinner.
Day 10 : Transfer to Kigali airport
On the last day of the safari, you will have breakfast at the lodge5and a guide will pick you from the lodge after checking out and he will transfer you back to Kigali airport for your flight with a stopover at Kimironko market.
