Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Fly To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Depending on your location, you will meet the safari guide who will brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will have your flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On arrival at the airstrip in Kihihi, the guide driver will transfer you to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and preparation for the next day’s activities.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience And Batwa Community Tour
After morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. The gorilla trek takes 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. On locating the Uganda gorillas, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play, hunt, breastfeed and feed. After the trek, you will have your packed lunch and return to the lodge for relaxation.
Later in the evening, you will have a community tour to the Batwa community, where you will be entertained by them through their music, dance and drama. After the cultural experience, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Fly Back To Entebbe And Transfer To Maasai Mara National Reserve
After morning breakfast, you will fly to Entebbe and then have a flight that will connect you to Maasai Mara, which departs from Entebbe at 12:15 and arrives at Maasai Mara at 14:30. On arrival, you will be allocated an airstrip in Maasai Mara and later meet your Kenya safari guide to transfer to the lodge. On arrival at the lodge, you will check in for a relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive In Maasai Mara
Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will go with a packed lunch and head to the plains of the reserve. You will watch animals such as cheetahs, elephants, lions, zebras, leopards and wildebeests, among others. You will have lunch and proceed on a game drive till late in the evening. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Another Game Drive In Maasai Mara
After morning breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive within the plains of the reserve. You will be able to spot animals that you missed in the previous game drive. After the game drive around the reserve, you will go back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will head to the Maasai village for a cultural experience where you will interact with the local Maasai people. After the experience, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer To Nairobi For Departures
After morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Nairobi. On arrival, you will be dropped off at your place of advice or at the international airport for your flight back home.
