This is a 2 days Bwindi gorilla trekking safari from Kigali, which will start from Kigali Airport and still end there. The safari will involve a border crossing from Rwanda to Uganda via the Cyanika border. You will meet the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for one hour in their natural habitat, and you will be transferred back to Kigali Airport. While in Kigali, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial on day 1 to get information about what took place during the 1994 Rwandan genocide.

Day 1:  Pick up from Kigali Airport and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from Kigali Airport, and you will be transferred from the airport, and you will head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a visit. You will learn about the happenings of the 1994 Rwanda genocide, and the remains of the participants in the genocide will be shown to you. You will then head to a hotel for lunch.

The guide will then drive you to the Cyanika border, where you will cross to connect to Uganda and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will get to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening, and you will check into a lodge. You will be served dinner, and you retire to bed.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and departure to Kigali Airport

Early in the morning, you will have an early morning breakfast at the lodge, and then you will be given a packed lunch. You will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will receive the rules and regulations to follow while gorilla trekking, and you will be allocated an armed ranger guide and a gorilla family to find. You will trek for approximately 30 minutes to 7 hours to find the gorillas, and you will come across a number of wildlife species while gorilla trekking. You will spot and spend 2 hours with the Uganda gorillas in their natural habitat. You will have pictures of the gorillas, and you will also observe them feed, play and much more. You will return to the lodge, and you will check out.

You will head back to Kigali Airport via the Cyanika border from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will be dropped off at Kigali Airport for your flight.
