Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

In the morning, the safari guide will meet you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will embark on the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for photography and to buy souvenirs. After having lunch in Mbarara, proceed with the journey to Kabale.

On arrival, you will head into your lodge for dinner and prepare for the next day’s activities.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking And Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi

Early in the morning, after having breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. The gorilla trek takes 2-8 hours, depending on the movements of the gorillas. Once the Uganda gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them perform their day-to-day activities.

After the trek, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer To Kampala

In the morning, after a relaxed breakfast, you will embark on the journey back to Kampala with lunch en route. You will have a stopover at the equator for a moment and also buy souvenirs. After, you will proceed to Kampala, and on arrival, you will check in to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer To Murchison Falls National Park

After having breakfast, you will embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park, and you will pass via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino tracking experience, which takes an hour. After, you will have lunch and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, and on arrival, you will visit the top of the falls for a breathtaking scenic view of the mighty Nile as it forces itself through a 7-metre gorge, powering down with a thunderous roar.

After the visit, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive And Afternoon Boat Cruise

Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and then cross over with a ferry and go for a game drive up to the northern part of the park. You will look out for game such as giraffes, lions, buffalo, bushbucks, gazelles, elephants and leopards, among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and have lunch while on a safari.

After lunch, you will have a boat cruise on the River Nile up to the bottom of the falls. This will reward you with games such as hippos, crocodiles and lots of bird species, among others. After the boat cruise experience, you will return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking In Budongo And Transfer Back To Kampala

In the morning after breakfast, you will head to Budongo Forest, which is outside Murchison Falls, for a chimpanzee trekking experience. You will have a briefing from the park wardens before heading to the forest, and then later, you will enter the forest in search of the chimpanzees. The chimpanzee trek takes 1 to 3 hours, and once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour with them as you take pictures and record moments as well.

After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kampala. On arrival late in the evening, you will be dropped off at the Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home or any other place of your choice.
